I cannot imagine this only happens in my house but it is one of the great mysteries of life: tape disappears. No matter how much we have, it’s never there when we need it. So part one of today’s task is very simple: buy tape. Add it to your next grocery order or amazon delivery. If you’re out and about today, make an extra stop to get tape. Just trust me on this one.
If you want to take an extra step, go ahead and grab some scissors and put the tape and scissors together for the start of your gift wrap supplies. The key is just put it somewhere you remember and that the tape/scissor bandits can’t find it. (Bonus points if you stash a bit of emergency chocolate in this top secret hiding place too)
Part two will look different for each of us but I want you to start thinking of how you’re going to wrap your gifts. Do you change things each year, color code, use only bags…. whatever your method it’s out everywhere so go ahead and start grabbing what you need.
Pro tip: Just about the easiest thing you can do is go with neutral paper (white, Kraft, gold or even black) for year round wrapping and just change up the ribbons and accents. March into hobby lobby and buy a few rolls of the supersized paper and you’re set for all the gift giving. Add a few bags in the same color for those hard to wrap items for bonus points. How easy is that?
