Don’t hate me for what I’m about to say. I am very aware of the date on the calendar. I am not trying to rush, panic or push anyone. My goal is to relieve future stress not create current anxiety but the truth is the truth…
We’re about to blink and wake up and it’s Thanksgiving and then 3 seconds later it’s Christmas.
Some of you read that and were all “LET’S GOOOO!” And others are hiding, shaking under your bed. Some of you felt both at the same time.
Oh how I love the entire holiday season… I like to roll thanksgiving and Christmas together because they are both so good and so close and so wonderful! It’s really all of it… the traditions, the food, the time with family, the trees, the lights… isn’t it just wonderful? But more truth… it doesn’t just happen by chance, it’s a lot of work and too easy to let the stress of the season overtake the joy. I’m sure we’ve all been there at least a little, right?
I have always been a firm believer in taking time NOW to make our season easier LATER. I’ve written quite a bit about it over the years but I’ve taken it to a whole new level this year and you’re invited to come along with me.
Here’s how it works: We are designating three weeks in October to do one small task each day to prepare for the Christmas season. I can guarantee you that it won’t be anything that will “rush” you or make your feel like you’re doing things before they are “seasonally appropriate” or even just too much work. They’re easy but will translate to so much help once it is the holiday season.
I’m going to post the “assignment” right here and on our blog each and every day so you can follow along and see for yourself. So what do you think? Are you up for the challenge of one teeny thing each day in October to help your November/December self in a big way?
PS if you are joining us please leave comment below. It takes a bit for them to show up but it will be such an encouragement to everyone!
