What I learned (October)

What I learned (October)

November 1st. October is over. The write 31 days challenge is over. Did I finish it? Yes and no. I failed to post all 31 days, but I wrote 18 real posts which is probably more that all of last year and I call that a huge improvement. But more than just 18 posts, I’ve learned so much, so today, as my favorite Emily P. Edit (Make it Pretty)

Edit (Make it Pretty)

Now that you’ve had a little time to process your tour from yesterday, I want you to zero in on those spots you love the most and compare them to the ones that caused you a little stress. Someone gets sick, an unexpected invitation, you find out there are 13 more people coming to an event than originally planned… you name it. Stuff happens and it happens big during such a busy season.  You cannot prepare for everything but you can take steps to make them not hurt as badly. Here are just a few thoughts…  Stay healthy: Take care of yourself and your people. Drink plenty of water, eat your veggies, get some sleep. Do all you can to prevent getting sick but be willing...

Start Now (Christmas Prep Week)

Start Now (Christmas Prep Week)

Now that we have our lists made and a good grasp on what we’re dealing with come Christmas,  today is the day to start putting things into action. These are simple steps you can just integrate into what you’re already doing now to save time later. Let’s get started!    Gifts: You have your list so when you see something that person might like, pick it up. I started this in the summer when I ran across some great sale items at Hobby Lobby and we have a box in extra closet for such things. Not only will you save money...
